Acupuncture
Acupuncture supports the body’s natural ability to heal, regulate, and restore balance. This safe, time-tested form of medicine addresses imbalances on every level—physical, emotional, mental, and energetic.
Through gentle stimulation of specific points, acupuncture encourages balance, reduces stress, and restores the smooth flow of energy throughout the body. Further, acupuncture improves circulation, reduces inflammation, and encourages the smooth flow of energy (qi) throughout the body.
In addition to promoting overall wellness, acupuncture is highly effective in treating a wide range of physical conditions, including chronic and acute pain, musculoskeletal issues, headaches and migraines, digestive concerns, hormonal and menstrual imbalances, and nervous system dysregulation.
With regular treatments, patients often experience reduced pain, improved mobility, better sleep, deeper relaxation, and a greater sense of ease and connection within their body. Additionally, patients expérience improved resilience, deeper relaxation, and a greater sense of connection to their overall well-being.
Cupping
Cupping may be used alongside acupuncture or as a stand-alone treatment to release areas of stagnation and tension within the body.
At Sea Wellness Acupuncture, both static and moving glass fire cupping techniques are used to promote circulation, relieve muscle tightness, and support respiratory health.
Cupping can be beneficial for conditions such as bronchitis, asthma, congestion, and chronic pain—while also leaving you with that unmistakable “finally exhaled” feeling.

Auricular Acupuncture
Acupuncture is performed on the ears as a standalone treatment or in conjunction with acupuncture sessions. Acuseeds or needles are used. With hundreds of points located on the ear alone, auricular acupuncture can be performed in such a way that treats a myriad of conditions from musculoskeletal, functional, endocrine systems, and more.
Certified by the National Auricular Detoxification Association, I am also an AcuDetox Specialist, and provide the NADA protocol.
The NADA 5-Point Ear Acupuncture protocol is a gentle, evidence-informed treatment used to support individuals navigating addiction, cravings, and substance cessation. It is widely used in clinical and community settings as a complementary approach alongside other forms of care to treat addiction.
Over the years, this protocol has been applied to treat more than addiction including stress, anxiety, sleep issues, and truama symptoms including PTSD.
It works by helping regulate the nervous system, allowing the body to shift out of chronic stress and into a more balanced, restorative state. Many patients experience a sense of calm, clarity, and emotional steadiness during and after treatment.
When offered as little as once per week, many patients report meaningful improvements in how they feel day to day.
Sessions are quiet and restorative, with small, sterile needles placed in specific points on the ear while you rest comfortably.
Moxibustion
Moxibustion is a gentle heat therapy that uses the herb mugwort to warm acupuncture points and invigorate the flow of qi and blood. It is especially effective for dispelling cold, reducing stagnation, and promoting deep, restorative healing.
Moxa can be applied in several ways, including direct cone moxa, indirect moxa sticks, needle moxa, and moxa boxes. Each method creates a comforting, penetrating warmth that many patients find deeply soothing.
Beyond its therapeutic effects, moxa carries a distinctive aroma that often enhances relaxation and creates a calm, grounding treatment experience.

Gua Sha
Gua Sha is a traditional technique that involves gently scraping the skin with a smooth-edged tool to release tension and improve circulation.
This process may create temporary redness or light bruising, which reflects the movement of stagnant blood and qi to the surface. In response, the body initiates a natural healing process—reducing inflammation, easing muscle tightness, and restoring healthy flow.
Gua Sha is commonly used for musculoskeletal pain, respiratory conditions, immune support, and skin health.
Electroacupuncture Stimulation (E-Stim)
Electroacupuncture enhances traditional acupuncture by applying a gentle electrical current between needles to deepen stimulation and improve therapeutic outcomes.
The sensation is typically a mild tingling or rhythmic pulsing and should always remain comfortable. Settings are carefully adjusted to each patient, ensuring a safe and personalized experience.
This technique is especially effective for pain management, muscle recovery, and neurological support.

Acuseeds
Acuseeds are small seeds or beads placed on acupuncture points—most often on the ears—to provide continuous, gentle stimulation between treatments.
They offer a needle-free way to extend the benefits of acupuncture and actively involve patients in their healing process. By applying light pressure to the seeds throughout the day, patients can support stress reduction, improve sleep, regulate mood, and boost overall energy.
Acuseeds can remain in place for several days, making them a simple yet powerful tool for ongoing care.
Acuseed therapy is an approved modality through NCCAOM and supported by the University of Maryland Medical System. Full body treatments can be performed with acuseeds and was pioneered by Dr. Colleen Curran, LAc. who successfully integrated it into the treatment and care of patients within the Kauffman Cancer Center at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Herbal medicine focuses on addressing the root cause of imbalance rather than simply managing symptoms. Carefully selected herbs and botanicals work to nourish the body and support its natural healing processes.
Each formula is tailored to the individual, reflecting a personalized approach that may also include dietary and lifestyle guidance. This process encourages a deeper awareness of the body’s signals and fosters a more active role in long-term health.
Chinese Herbal Medicine is one of the oldest and most comprehensive herbal systems in the world, offering a sophisticated approach to diagnosis and treatment.
Traditionally, herbs are used on three levels: to relieve symptoms, to correct underlying imbalances, and to support longevity and vitality.
At Sea Wellness Acupuncture, herbal formulations are thoughtfully crafted to reflect the complexity of each individual—supporting not just isolated concerns, but the whole person.

Cosmetic Acupuncture
Cosmetic acupuncture is a natural approach to skin rejuvenation that works from the inside out. Rooted in ancient practice and refined for modern care, it supports both the appearance of the skin and the overall health of the body.
By stimulating specific points on the face and body, this treatment boosts collagen production, tones facial muscles, improves circulation, and enhances the flow of blood and energy (qi). The result is smoother, firmer, more radiant skin—without the risks or down time associated with injections or surgical procedures.
Because cosmetic acupuncture takes a holistic approach, many patients also notice improvements in sleep, digestion, stress levels, and overall vitality. When the body is supported internally, it naturally reflects outward through a healthier, more vibrant complexion.
Cosmetic acupuncture cannot be done on those who have unmanaged high blood pressure, diabetes, active herpes or acne breakout, or any other active skin condition flare-up, and women who are pregnant. Please let your practitioner know prior to treatment if you have ever had botox, fillers, or any facial surgeries. You must wait at least 4 weeks after botox. Cosmetic acupuncture may cause the effects of botox to wear off.
Microneedling and Nanoneedling
Microneedling is a highly effective, minimally invasive treatment that stimulates collagen and elastin production to restore the skin’s texture and elasticity.
Using the AcuLift™ MicroPen, this treatment creates precise microchannels in the skin to support natural regeneration. It helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and stretch marks while improving overall tone and complexion.
Safe for all skin types, microneedling offers noticeable results with minimal downtime—making it a powerful option for deeper skin renewal.
Nanoneedling is a gentle, non-invasive treatment designed to enhance product absorption and instantly refresh the skin.It can be performed on its own or paired with cosmetic acupuncture or microneedling treatments. Because it works at a more superficial level, it is especially ideal for delicate areas like around the eyes and lips.
By increasing serum absorption significantly, nanoneedling delivers nutrients directly into the skin—leaving you with a smoother texture and that immediate, lit-from-within glow.
Microneedling can not be done on clients who are on blood thinners, undergoing chemo/radiation, those who have moderate to severe skin conditions, active breakouts, or who get keloid scarring, and women who are pregnant Please avoid taking anti-inflammatory medication, drinking alcohol, or taking fish oil tablets for 48-72 hours prior to your appointment, as this will minimize bleeding.

Facial Gua Sha and Cupping
Facial cupping and Gua Sha are often incorporated at the end of a treatment or offered as stand-alone services to further enhance circulation and lymphatic flow.
Gua Sha uses smooth, sculpted tools to gently stimulate the skin, helping to release tension, improve circulation, and reduce inflammation. It can support concerns such as acne, rosacea, puffiness, and fine lines while promoting a more lifted, sculpted appearance.
Facial cupping uses small, gentle suction cups to increase blood flow, deliver nutrients to the skin, and encourage lymphatic drainage. This helps reduce puffiness, soften fine lines, and brighten the complexion. The treatment is relaxing, painless, and leaves the skin feeling refreshed, nourished, and revitalized.
