I had awful, shooting pain from my neck and down my arm due to a pinched nerve. I was in excruciating pain for days and I could barely move my head from side to side. My sleep was affected, and I was miserable. The doctor told me she could prescribe a muscle relaxer but that a better option was to try acupuncture. I had amazing results with acupuncture for sciatica pain years prior and was eager to see if it would help again. During my first session with Brooke, the pain had almost fully resolved before I even left the office and my range of motion improved significantly!

My significant other, Bob, has suffered from a back injury for many years. The pain radiates down his hip and leg, making walking painfully difficult. At times while walking his leg would give out. I was worried that he would fall and compound the issue. He was seen by an orthopedic surgeon who suggested pain management involving injections into the spine. Bob was reluctant to do this. In January of 2019, he contracted Shingles in the area of his head above his left eye and around his left ear. He never fully recovered and was suffering from ongoing pain diagnosed as post herpetic neuralgia. He was told by boh his general practitioner and his neurologist that the pain may never go away. Both doctors prescribed many medications to no avail. His head pain was so severe at times that we couldn’t drive with the windows down and going out on our boat was impossible….even putting a hat on or touching his head was painful.

It had gotten to the point that he had no quality of life and he would spend the day sitting in the recliner. Having heard about acupuncture, I suggested that Bob give it a try. We met with Brooke several weeks ago. Right from the start of the first visit it was as though she’d met Bob and knew him well. Although she explained that he may not see results immediately, we left the first visit and it was absolutely amazing. He was able to walk without leg pain and the pain in his head was gone. It was amazing to see him laugh and smile like his old self again. After his third visit with Brooke, the results remain amazing!
